Not every animal needs an ear tag. Our neck chain tags hang from a collar or chain, so you can ID goats, sheep, and pigs without tagging an ear. We laser engrave your animal's name or number, and you can add your brand, a background pattern, or a phone number.
Hard to find: turquoise and gold. Most neck chain tags only come in the basics. We carry turquoise and gold too, so your animals can stand out in the pen and the show ring.
Because the engraving goes into the tag, they're weatherproof and won't fade, peel, or rub off. They're made to last the life of the animal.

- Size: 2 3/8" tall x 2 7/8" wide.
- 14 tag colors, including hard-to-find turquoise and gold. Ritchey tags are made in two layers, and the laser cuts through the top layer to show the color underneath. So each tag color has one set engraving color: white tags engrave black, black tags engrave white, and so on. Each option shows the pair (like Yellow/Black), and we can't add other colors.
- Want a background design? Pick one from our design chart (photos) or ask for a custom design (+$5).
- Add text to the back for $2 more, like your phone number or "Please call my owner."

How to order

- Pick what you'd like on the tag: text only, your brand, or a design.
- In the Design Requests box, type your animal's name or number and any design or font you'd like.
- Pick your font, or let us choose for you.
- Using your brand or have an example? Upload the file.
- Want text on the back? Choose yes and type it in (+$2).
- Set the quantity and add to cart.
How it works
After you order, we email you a mock-up to look over. Approve it or ask for changes right from that email. If we don't hear back in 3 days, we'll send a reminder, and if it's still quiet after 7 days, we go ahead and make it just like the mock-up shows. Once it's approved, your order goes into our production queue to be made.
Sold individually, so order the exact colors you want
Each tag is priced and sold on its own, and every color and size is tracked separately in our inventory. Please add each color to your cart as its own item, in the quantity you need. Need 3 yellow and 2 blue? Add 3 yellow, then 2 blue. A note asking us to switch a color can't change what's pulled from inventory, and it can hold up your order while we sort it out.
Timing and shipping
Laser engraved orders ship in 2 to 3 weeks, depending on how quickly you approve your mock-up and the size of your order. We ship by USPS Ground Advantage with insurance, and most orders arrive 3 to 7 business days after they ship. You'll get tracking by email, and you can check your order anytime with our Order Lookup. Need it sooner? Message us before you order and we'll let you know what's possible. We ship within the United States only.
If something goes wrong in transit
Once your package is with USPS, delivery is in their hands, but you won't be left to sort it out alone. Most orders ship with insurance, so if a package is lost or arrives damaged, send us photos and we'll file the claim. We'll do everything we can to get your order to you as quickly as possible.
